The D.R. Johnson Memorial Timber Truckers Light Parade is Saturday.
Organizers said in light of the challenges confronting the area, they are hoping the 27th annual event will be the biggest and best truck parade ever. Dozens of lighted vehicles will meet at the D.R. Johnson lumber mill at 4:00 p.m. and hit the road at 5:00 p.m.
The five-mile route goes through downtown Riddle to Pruner Road, over Interstate Five at exit 103, north along Old Pacific Highway 99 and into Myrtle Creek. The parade will end at the Myrtle Creek Community Center on Northwest Second Avenue.
