A Roseburg man was jailed after an alleged menacing incident on Tuesday.

A report from Roseburg Police said at about 4:45 a.m. the suspect called a man in the 2100 block of Balsam and made multiple threats to him, which ultimately placed the victim and another person, in fear for their safety.

The report said, when contacted, the 42-year old suspect told officers he would not come outside, even after being told that he was under arrest. The man eventually gave up and was placed in custody.

The suspect was charged with menacing and for interfering with police. Bail was set at $12,500.
