A Roseburg man was arrested for a case of vandalism at the Douglas County Republican Headquarters.

Sergeant Jeff Eichenbusch of Roseburg Police said for the past several months, officers have been investigating numerous cases of damage to the building, in the 500 block of Southeast Jackson in downtown. Eichenbusch said during these incidents the windows have been broken several times, and on multiple occasions graffiti was sprayed on the exterior of the building. In one of the recent cases, 38-year old Sean O’Grady was identified as a potential suspect.

Eichenbusch said on Tuesday RPD detectives contacted O’Grady and he was ultimately charged with criminal mischief in the first degree, which is a Class C felony in Oregon.

Eichenbusch said the investigation into the previous cases continues. Additional charges may be pending. O’Grady was booked but was released from custody on Tuesday.
