ROSEBURG PUBLIC LIBRARY CLOSED, DRIVE-UP SERVICE AVAILABLE

November 17, 2020 3:45 a.m.

In response to Governor Kate Brown calling for a Two-Week Freeze, Roseburg Public Library has closed its building to the public.

Director Kris Wiley said the library will remain closed through at least December 2nd. Wiley said beyond that date, staff will continue to evaluate the public health situation and modify plans accordingly. The most current information will be posted at www.roseburgpubliclibrary.org and on the library’s Facebook page as well.

As an alternative, drive-up pickup is available:

*This Thursday November 19th

*Tuesday November 24th

*Tuesday December 1st

To take advantage of this option, patrons should log into their accounts and place holds at: https://roseburg.biblionix.com/catalog/ using their library card number and password. People can also call the library at 492-7050 to receive assistance.

Wiley said staff will pull requested items from the shelves, check them out to patrons and prepare them for pickup. On the pickup days from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. patrons can drive up to the main door, and staff will facilitate handing over materials. People are asked to remain in their vehicles and follow posted instructions in the parking lot.

Wiley said staff will not handle returned materials during the drive-up service. Instead people are asked to continue to use the outside book drop. Due dates will remain in effect and overdue bills and reminders will be issued.

The library’s digital platforms remain available 24/7. Thousands of electronic books and audiobooks are available for readers of all ages through cloudLibrary and OverDrive.
