HIGHEST DAILY COUNTY CASE COUNT FOR COVID-19 REPORTED FRIDAY

November 13, 2020 2:00 p.m.

On Friday, the Douglas County COVID-19 Response Team reported the highest daily county case count for COVID-19 since the pandemic began.

29 more people have received positive test results for COVID-19 in the county and there is 1 new presumptive case. That breaks the previous record high set on Wednesday. The total number of cases is now at 593, Of those, 533 are people that have had positive test results, and 60 are presumptive. There have been 10 deaths. 17 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are being hospitalized locally. 157 people are in isolation. 473 people are in quarantine. That means the staff of the Douglas Public Health Network are supporting 630 people that are in either isolation or quarantine. 17,112 people have tested negative for COVID-19 in the county.

The DPHN update said the county has had a record 136 cases of COVID-19 this week, with one more day to go. It asked local residents to:

*Maintain social distancing

*Wash and sanitize hands often

*Use face coverings and cover coughs and sneezes

*Clean and disinfect frequently used surfaces

*Stay home from work, school and all activities when sick
