COVID-19 CLAIMS 5 MORE LIFES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 742 AS OF WEDNESDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 5 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 742, as of Wednesday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 876 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, raising the state total to 52,770.

The new cases include:

*298 in Multnomah County

*102 in Washington County

*83 in Marion County

*67 in Clackamas County

*51 in Lane County

*50 in Jackson County

*32 each in Douglas and Umatilla counties

*31 in Yamhill County

*19 in Deschutes County

*14 in Jefferson County

*11 each in Benton and Polk counties

*10 in Coos County

*8 in Baker County

*7 in Columbia County

*5 each in Grant and Lake counties

*3 each in Curry and Josephine counties

*2 each in Clatsop, Hood River, Klamath, Morrow, Tillamook and Wallowa counties

*1 each in Crook, Harney, Union and Wasco counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 76 to 100. 3 lived in Multnomah County. 2 lived in Marion County.
