A Glendale man was arrested on rape charges on Tuesday evening.

Sergeant Brad O’Dell of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said on Monday, DCSO took a report of a sexual assault. It had reportedly taken place on Monday October 27th in the 100 block of Fourth Street in Glendale.

O’Dell said during the investigation it was revealed that 20-year old Irving Gerardo Gaytan of Glendale had sexual contact with an adult female known to him, without her consent while she was sleeping.

Gaytan was charged with first degree counts of rape and sexual abuse. Bail was set at $500,000.
