FLU CLINIC/TRAINING EXERCISE ON FRIDAY

October 29, 2020 10:00 a.m.

The Douglas Public Health Network will partner with emergency management personnel and medical personnel from around the area to conduct a drive through flu shot clinic on Friday at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.

The event is taking place as a way to give out flu shots and have an emergency preparedness exercise to practice the rapid dispensing of medications. The flu shot will be given out free of charge and will be available to 300 participants.

To follow social distancing, those getting a shot will remain in their vehicle. They will be asked to fill out a brief intake form, receive a medical screening if indicated, then proceed to a vaccination station to get the flu vaccine. The intake form can be filled out in advance by going to https://www.dispenseassist.net/flu.html

The drive through clinic will run from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Call the Douglas Public Health Network at 440-3571 for more information.
