MAN JAILED FOLLOWING ALLEGED ASSAULT

A Roseburg man was jailed Tuesday due to an earlier alleged assault.

Information from Roseburg Police said the 31-year old reportedly punched a male victim in the eye, on October 19th. He was charged for harassment. The following day the victim went to Mercy Medical Center for pain to and around the eye and found his orbital socket was fractured. The suspect was contacted again and charged with second degree assault based on the finding of the serious injury.

He was detained without bail.
