A Myrtle Creek motorcyclist was hurt when he was hit by a vehicle on Tuesday afternoon.
A report from Roseburg Police said at about 4:15 p.m. the 49-year old man was riding south in the left lane of Pine Street, while the 22-year old female motorist, also from Myrtle Creek, was driving in the right lane, as they approached the intersection with Rice.
The report said the motorist attempted to make a left turn onto Rice from the right lane, and turned directly into the motorcyclist, who was next to her. The rider was knocked from his bike and slid down the roadway. He complained of hip and leg pain and was transported to Mercy Medical Center by ambulance. He was treated and released.
The motorist was not injured. She was cited for making an unsafe lane change and for driving uninsured.
