A sleeping man was run over by an SUV Saturday night in Roseburg.

A report from Roseburg Police said just after 7:00 p.m. the 48-year old had fallen asleep under the back tires of the vehicle which was parked at the Templin Beach boat ramp. The driver said he didn’t know the man was there, and backed over him with both his front and rear tires.

The report said the driver immediately transported the man to Mercy Medical Center for the treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The driver was not cited by Roseburg Police.
