1 student at Oakland Elementary School has tested positive for COVID-19.
Oakland School District Superintendent Patti Lovemark made the announcement on the district’s website Wednesday night after being notified by the Douglas Public Health Network and County Public Health Officer Dr. Bob Dannenhoffer.
Lovemark said the district was working with local public health and the Oregon Health Authority to notify parents of the children in the cohort that the child that tested positive was in, and were asking them to quarantine for 14 days and monitor for symptoms. Lovemark’s statement said “If you have not been contacted, then your family is NOT at risk”.
Lovemark said anyone that has questions or concerns about COVID-19, should call the Douglas Public Health Network at 464-6550, 7 days a week between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
