9 MORE POSITIVE TEST RESULTS, 1 PRESUMPTIVE NOW A POSITIVE CASE OF COVID-19

9 more people have received positive test results for COVID-19 in Douglas County, as of Tuesday.

That ties the second highest daily case count for COVID-19 since the pandemic began. 9 more presumptive test results were also reported on October 14th.

An update from the Douglas County COVID-19 Response Team said 1 presumptive case has been moved to positive with positive test results as well. The total number of cases is now at 328. Of those 294 are people that have received positive test results and 34 are presumptive. There have been 4 deaths. 5 people are hospitalized for COVID-19. 1 local patient is being hospitalized outside the area while 3 are being hospitalized locally. The 5th patient is being hospitalized locally but is not a resident of Douglas County. 43 people are in isolation with 123 people in quarantine. 14,843 people have tested negative for COVID-19 in the county.

The update said with another big increase in cases, “it’s important that everyone get back on track with COVID-19 prevention measures”. It said those who still want to partake in social activities, should do so safely and with COVID protection in mind.
