A motorcyclist escaped capture following a pursuit by Sutherlin Police on Thursday.

An SPD report said around 4:45 p.m. an officer spotted a male motorcyclist on East Central who he recognized as being a suspect from a pursuit on Wednesday. The report said the bike accelerated eastbound and the rider would not pull over. The pursuit was terminated when the rider started using the opposing lane to pass other vehicles in corners.

The bike was last seen eastbound on Nonpareil Road near Keybird Lane.
