1 JAILED, 2 CITED AFTER PARKING LOT FIGHT

1 person was jailed and 2 were cited, following a fight in the parking lot of a business early Saturday.

A report from Roseburg Police said at 12:15 a.m. officers responded to the 2600 block of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard. The report said a 24-year old man and a 23-year old man were physically fighting. Another 23-year old man tried to break up the altercation, but Brian Fairbanks, also age 23, thought the third man was attacking the second man. Fairbanks allegedly pointed a pistol at the third man in order to stop the fight, but continued to point it at him after the fight was over.

The report said everyone involved with extremely intoxicated.

Fairbanks was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, pointing a firearm at another, menacing and for second degree disorderly conduct. After arraignment, he was held on $12,500 bail. The two men involved in the fight were both cited for second degree disorderly conduct and then were released.
