The Douglas County St. Vincent de Paul Society will be distributing food boxes in three locations, on Tuesday.
In Roseburg, the group will be giving out food in the main parking lot of St. Joseph Catholic Church at the corner of West Harvard and Stewart Parkway, beginning at 7:30 a.m.
In Sutherlin, food boxes will be available at the St. Vincent Thrift Store on East Central starting at 8:00 a.m.
In Myrtle Creek, food will be available in the vacant lot across the bridge from Tommy’s beginning at 7:30 a.m.
The boxes are part of the Farms to Families Federal Program. The Catholic Church of western Oregon is helping distribute the boxes to anyone in need. Residents just need to come to any of the locations, open their trunk, and the food will be placed inside. All boxes contain fresh food and require refrigeration.
The local St. Vincent de Paul Society has an office open Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to provide help in a variety of ways. Its located on the campus of St. Joseph Church. Call 680-0680 for more information.
