The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with fire managers, has announced additional evacuation level reductions.

On the Archie Creek Fire, the level 1 “BE READY” notice for all areas of the fire has been lifted.

For the Thielsen Fire, the level 1 ‘BE READY’ notice including the Diamond Lake Resort, all recreation areas, and all residential and summer homes, has been lifted.

The changes mean there are no longer any evacuation levels in place in Douglas County. Sheriff John Hanlin said he would like to thank the citizens of the county for their patience during the evacuation.
