COVID-19 has claimed 2 more lives, raising the state death toll to 583, as of Wednesday.
An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 304 new confirmed and presumptive cases, bringing the state total to 35,634. The new cases include:
*53 in Lane County
*43 in Multnomah County
*31 in Linn County
*26 in Washington County
*25 in Marion County
*22 in Clackamas County
*21 in Jackson County
*13 in Umatilla County
*11 in Deschutes County
*7 in Columbia County
*6 each in Coos and Josephine counties
*5 each in Malheur, Tillamook and Yamhill counties
*4 each in Benton and Wasco counties
*3 each in Douglas, Baker and Polk counties
*2 each in Klamath and Wallowa counties
*1 each in Crook, Jefferson, Lake, Morrow and Lincoln counties
Oregon’s 582nd COVID-19 death is an an 86-year old man in Washington County who tested positive on September 24th and died on October 5th at his residence.
Oregon’s 583rd COVID-19 death is a 69-year old woman in Deschutes County who tested positive on August 26th and died on October 5th at St. Charles Medical Center.
Both had underlying conditions, according to the OHA.
OHA announced 4 COVID-19 outbreaks:
*20 cases at New Seasons Food Company in Washington County
*20 cases at the Oregon State Hospital in Marion County
*21 cases at McDonalds on Barnett Road in Medford, which is in Jackson County
*41 cases at the Oregon State Correctional Institution in Marion County
