A woman was taken to the hospital after a wreck in the Umpqua area on Tuesday.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at 8:15 a.m. an eastbound vehicle was traveling at about 65 miles per hour in the 3400 block of Tyee Road. The driver said when they saw another vehicle attempting to turn, it was too late and the first vehicle hit the front passenger side of the second one.
The first driver, a 63-year old Umpqua woman, was transported to Mercy Medical Center as a precautionary measure. The second driver, a 48-year old Roseburg man, was cited for not having an operator’s license.
