COVID-19 CLAIMS 8 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 555 AS OF TUESDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 8 more lives, raising the state death toll to 555 as of Tuesday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 299 new and confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 33,291. The new cases include:

*52 in Multnomah County

*49 in Marion County

*41 in Washington County

*32 in Lane County

*28 in Clackamas County

*11 each in Jackson and Umatilla counties

*10 in Klamath County

*9 in Malheur County

*8 in Benton County

*7 each in Douglas and Deschutes counties

*5 in Josephine County

*4 each in Jefferson, Linn and Morrow counties

*3 each in Columbia and Polk counties

*2 in Clatsop County

*1 each in Baker, Coos, Crook and Wallowa counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 60 to 96. 3 lived in Malheur County, 2 lived in Multnomah County.  1 each lived in Clackamas, Yamhill and Marion counties.
