SHERIFF’S OFFICE ANNOUNCES ADDITIONAL REDUCTIONS IN EVACUATION NOTICES

September 23, 2020 6:00 p.m.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, working in conjunction with fire managers, has announced additional reductions in evacuation notices.

These areas have been reduced from a level 2 “BE SET” evacuation notice to a level 1 “BE READY”:

*Dry Creek, including Happy Creek Lane, Felix Flat, Elk Ridge Drive and Illahee Road

*Little River Road from Buckhorn Road to New Bridge Road, including all side roads between those two points

The following evacuation notices remain unchanged:

Level 1 “BE READY”:

*Nonpariel Road at Banks Creek east to the end of Nonpareil, including all side streets

Level 2 “BE SET”:

*Little River Road at New Bridge Road to the end of Little River Road, including all side streets between those two points

*Highway 138E at the Narrows Wayside/Idleyld Trading Post east to Steamboat Creek, including all side streets between those two points

*Diamond Lake, including the Resort, all recreation areas, sites, residential and summer homes
