2 more people have received positive test results and there are 5 new presumptive cases of COVID-19 in Douglas County, as of Tuesday.
An update from the Douglas County COVID-19 Response Team said the total number of cases has jumped to 221. Of those, 194 people have received positive test results and 27 are presumptive. There have been 4 deaths and 4 people are hospitalized. 31 people are currently in isolation. 12,413 people have tested negative for COVID-19 in the county.
The update said the most recent cases all point to unwitting and presumably unintentional behavior by these residents attending or hosting social gatherings where COVID-19 guidelines for social distancing, food preparation, hand washing, and masks were not being followed.
