The Elliot State Forest has re-opened.
An update from the Oregon Department of State Lands said fire danger remains high in the forest. Visitors are reminded to help prevent fire in the forest by following current public use restrictions:
*No campfires are allowed
*Vehicles must remain on improved roads
*Smoking is prohibited

The Elliot State Forest is in Douglas and Coos counties.
