Two people died in a two-vehicle wreck on Highway 42 near Winston, on Saturday night.

A report from Oregon State Police said at approximately 9:15 p.m. a pickup operated by 36-year old Dustin Robinson of Sutherlin, was westbound when it went off the road. The pickup struck a sedan driven by 20-year old William McCullough IV, at the intersection of the highway and Jackie Avenue near the Green Bridge.

MuCullough and his passenger 20-year Mark Ritter, both from Roseburg, sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene. Robinson sustained minor injuries in the crash.

OSP was assisted by several other agencies. Driving under the influence of intoxicants by Robinson is being investigated as a possible factor in the crash. Further information will be released by or with the approval of the Douglas County District Attorney’s Office.
