An Idleyld Park man was jailed after an alleged burglary at the Rock Creek Fish Hatchery on Wednesday night.
A report from Oregon State Police said just after 11:00 p.m. a trooper was notified about a suspicious vehicle at the hatchery, most of which was destroyed, or sustained heavy damage in the Archie Creek Fire.
The trooper located a pickup that was trying to leave the area. The vehicle was stopped and the driver admitted to going into the visitor’s center and taking multiple sets of waders. During a search of the vehicle, a glass pipe and methamphetamine was reportedly located on the center console of the vehicle.
34-year old Trevor Swafford was charged with second degree counts of burglary and theft, and for unlawful possession of meth. He was released from custody early Thursday.
