In conjunction with fire officials, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has announced a reduction in the level 3 evacuation orders for a portion of Little River Road.

As of Sunday night, residents living on Little River Road from Highway 138E to Buckhorn Road are now under a level 2 “Be Set” evacuation notice. Level 2 means there is significant danger to that area. Residents should either voluntarily relocate to a shelter or with family and friends outside the affected area, or if they choose to remain, be ready to evacuate at a moment’s notice.

On Sunday afternoon, those living east of the Green Bridge in Glide, up river to the Narrows Wayside by the Idleyld Trading Post, were reduced from level 3 to level 2.
