In conjunction with fire officials, staff with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has announced a reduction in the level 3 evacuation orders for parts of Idleyld Park.
As of 12:00 p.m. Sunday, residents living east of the Green Bridge in Glide, up river to the Narrows Wayside by the Idleyld Trading Post, are now under a level 2 “BE SET” evacuation notice.
The update said law enforcement is unable to let anyone past the road block at Idleyld Trading Post due to hazardous conditions that exist beyond the closure. Staff with the Oregon Department of Transportation and Oregon State Police continue to assess and clear hazards.
In addition, residents on Lone Rock Road and Terrace Drive have also been downgraded to a level 2 “BE SET” notice.
Residents who return to their homes should continue to monitor official sources of information and be prepared to leave at a moments notice if the situation changes.
