COVID-19 has claimed 2 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 499, as of Friday.
An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 215 new and confirmed cases, raising the state death toll t0 28,865. The new cases include:
*59 in Multnomah County
*36 in Marion County
*27 in Malheur County
*17 in Washington County
*14 in Clackamas County
*9 in Umatilla County
*8 in Lane County
*7 in Jackson County
*6 in Benton County
*5 in Polk County
*4 in Yamhill County
*3 each in Deschutes, Jefferson, and Linn counties
*2 each in Baker, Coos, Union, Morrow and Wasco counties
*1 each in Columbia, Curry, Douglas, and Klamath counties
Oregon’s 498th COVID-19 death is a 64-year old man in Jefferson County who tested positive on August 5th and died on September 10th at St. Charles Medical Center in Bend.
Oregon’s 499th COVID-19 death is a 91-year old man in Multnomah County who tested positive on August 24th and died on September 1st at Adventist Medical Center.
Both had underlying conditions according to the OHA
