Northeast Winchester Street in Roseburg is temporarily closing, beginning on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m.

City of Roseburg Communication Specialist Eric Johnson said the closure is happening in order to continue pavement improvements to the street. Johnson said the street is scheduled to reopen Monday at 7:00 a.m. During the closure, contractors will begin road repairs. This includes conducting a two-foot excavation of the road for new rock and asphalt.

All north and southbound traffic will be diverted to North East Stephens. Detour route signs will be posted prior to the closure. Drivers who use Northeast Winchester, will be required to use alternate routes.
