The Archie Creek Fire east of Glide is over 97,000 acres as of the last update from the Douglas Forest Protective Association.

DFPA is working with the structural protection group and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office to determine the status of homes and other structures in the fire area.

Northwest Incident Management Team 9 has assumed command of the fire. An update from the team is expected later Thursday.
