A Roseburg man was jailed for an alleged assault Tuesday night.

Information from Roseburg Police, said at about 6:15 p.m. multiple witnesses said they heard a disturbance on the bike path. Officers found two men in an argument near the corner of Esperanza and West Madrone. An investigation indicated that the 32-year old had kicked the male victim, causing pain and a bruise.

The suspect was charged with fourth degree assault and for warrants that were out for his arrest. He was detained on $12,500 bail.
