The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has issued evacuation updates for areas east of Glide as of 1:00 p.m.

Sergeant Brad O’Dell said at the green bridge in Glide, Klahanie Lane is at a Level 2 ‘BE SET” evacuation notice. That includes French Creek, all of Lone Rock Road, from Klahanie Lane east to Steamboat Creek.

O’Dell said all of Rock Creek is at a Level 3 “GO” evacuation notice. That includes Steamboat Inn and a nearby housing complex.

Highway 138 east of the green bridge in Glide to Dry Creek and Steamboat is closed to all traffic. There is a soft closure at Lemolo. That is a 30-mile stretch of highway.

O’Dell said residents are asked to not travel east from Roseburg to get a better view of the fire. He said officials are concerned that doing so will clog roads being used by fire crews.
