NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR LEADING SAVING GRACE

A new executive director is now leading Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center.

After more than eleven years of service, Wendy Kang has stepped down and will join her husband’s veterinary practice in Oakland. Kang joined the non-profit in 2009. During her tenure, she oversaw the construction of the Adoption Center on Old Del Rio Road, launched a number of programs including play groups for dogs, return-to-field for stray cats, and increased the shelter’s go-home rate to over 90 percent.

Megan Gram is the new leader for Saving Grace. Gram I a Certified Animal Welfare Administrator who has lived and worked in Oregon for almost two decades. Gram served previously as the executive director of the Bend Spay and Neuter Project in Bend. She has also been a board member of many animal welfare organizations including Equine Outreach, Animal Balance, and the Pet Network Humane Society. Most recently, Gram worked as the Grants Director for a small family foundation in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

Gram officially takes the reins of Saving Grace on Tuesday with Kang on hand to assure a smooth transition.
