As the school year is getting started, the American Red Cross still has an urgent need for blood donations.

Those who are feeling well and are able to donate can make an appointment by going to www.redcrossblood.org or by calling 733-2767. Blood can be donated this week:

*Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at South River Community Health in Winston.

*Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Sutherlin Community Center

*Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Red Cross Blood Donation Center.

Upcoming blood drives are set to take place in Canyonville, Roseburg, Winston, and Myrtle Creek as well.
