RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE THURSDAY IN ROSEBURG

Roseburg had a record high temperature for the date on Thursday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 1240 KQEN that the mercury reached 99 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. The previous record was 97 degrees, set in 2003.

Medford got to 103 degrees but that did not set a record. The record high for the date was 106 degrees.

Cooler temperatures are forecast in Roseburg for the next couple of days. The high should be 90 degrees on both Friday and Saturday before reaching the mid to upper 90s starting on Sunday. The mercury is set to top 100 degrees on Tuesday and Wednesday.
