COVID-19 has claimed 3 more lives, raising the state death toll to 468 as of Wednesday.
An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 140 new confirmed and presumptive cases, bringing the state total to 27,075. The new cases include:
*32 in Multnomah County
*19 in Marion County
*16 in Washington County
*14 in Jackson County
*13 in Umatilla County
*11 in Lane County
*8 in Malheur County
*7 in Polk County
*4 in Clackamas County
*3 in Josephine County
*2 in Coos County
*1 each in Baker, Curry, Deschutes, Douglas, Lincoln, Linn, Morrow, Sherman, Wasco and Yamhill counties
The new deaths ranged in age from 71 to 84. 1 each lived in Polk, Jackson and Washington counties.
An outbreak of 21 COVID-19 cases has been reported at Port of Morrow Cold Storage in Morrow County. The case count includes all persons linked to the outbreak, which may include household members and other close contacts to an employee.
During the week of August 24th to August 30th, OHA recorded 1,558 new cases of COVID-19. This is down 8.6 percent from last week’s tally of 1,704, and Oregon’s lowest weekly total since the end of June.
OHA said the age group with the highest incidence of reported infection continues to be 20-29 -year old’s, with rates decreasing in subsequent decades of life.
