A Heat Advisory is in effect until Friday night for central Douglas County and much of southern Oregon.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford said high temperatures will range between 95 degrees and 105 degrees with overnight lows as warm as 65 degrees.
Forecasters said the combination of warm overnight temperatures, hot daytime temperatures, and dry conditions will make it difficult to stay hydrated and cool. Hot temperatures are forecast through Labor Day weekend.
Residents should drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on neighbors and relatives. Those who work outside should take frequent rest breaks in shaded or air-conditioned environments.
