Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center in Roseburg has been chosen as one of 54 animal welfare groups nationwide to receive a grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization to help dogs, especially senior dogs, that arrive at Saving Grace in need of dental care.
Executive Director Wendy Kang said they are thrilled to receive the $9,500 grant. Kang said the dental equipment they have now is older and is quickly becoming obsolete. Kang said the money will be used to replace and upgrade the equipment and to train one of the center’s veterinary assistants to use it. Kang said they take in roughly two-hundred senior dogs a year. She said the grant means they will be able to help more of them live longer, healthier lives, and find their forever homes.
