MAN JAILED AFTER ALLEGEDLY TRYING TO ASSAULT A POLICE OFFICER

A Roseburg man was jailed after allegedly attempting to assault a police officer on Friday.A Roseburg Police report said at about 9:20 a.m. officers responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 2900 block of Northwest Kline. 20-year old Brett Baglien reportedly tried to strike an officer several times with a metal piece of stove pipe.

He was also charged with unlawful use of a weapon and for menacing. Baglien was detained on $62,500.
