The Douglas County Board of Commissioners are accepting applications for volunteer representatives for the Douglas County Senior Services Advisory Council.

A release from the Board, said they are currently recruiting for these positions:

*3 positions representing central Douglas County

*1 position representing west Douglas County

Members of the council assist in identifying needs, evaluating programs, as well as planning and developing services for older residents of the county. Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of March, June, September, and December at 1:30 p.m.

Residents of the county that are interested in serving can submit an application to the Board of Commissioners. Applications are available at www.co.douglas.or.us or in-person at the commissioner’s office in room 217 of the Douglas County Courthouse.

Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled.
