Nearly 1,600 customers of Pacific Power were impacted by an outage on Friday night.

Sam Carter of Pacific Power, told News Radio 1240 KQEN that the outage began at 5:45 p.m. Customers in southeast Roseburg, parts of downtown and around Roseburg High School lost power. Carter said close to 1,200 customers got their power back at 6:35 p.m. The remaining customers were restored at about 8:20 p.m.

Carter said the outage was caused when a fuel truck hit a power line near the Holiday Inn Express on West Harvard.

Brooke Communications FM stations, Best County 103, 104-5 SAM FM, i101 FM, and the Score 92.3 FM were off the air for the duration of the outage, as the Mount Nebo area lost power as well.
