A male transient was cited for an alleged assault at the Stewart Park duck pond on Wednesday.

A report from Roseburg Police said at 10:15 a.m. the 29-year old reportedly punched another male transient. The report said the suspect allegedly fled back into the nature trail area. The victim was treated by medics for minor injuries. The suspect was later located and cited for fourth degree assault and for a warrant that was out for his arrest.

He was released after being cited.
