No one was injured when a lawnmower burned at Roseburg High School on Tuesday.

Crews from the Roseburg Fire Department were called to the fire at about 10:15 a.m. It started while a district employee was mowing the field behind the Career and Technical Education building, just west of the football field. The fire was quickly extinguished before it could spread to the building.

The large mower was a total loss. The fire caused minor damage to the field.

The fire put up dark smoke that was seen in the area around the high school, drawing the attention of those nearby.
