MAN CITED FOR MENACING, DISORDERLY CONDUCT

A Roseburg man was cited for menacing and second-degree disorderly conduct by Roseburg Police on Friday.

Information from RPD said at 3:00 p.m. the 36-year old allegedly chased a victim through the parking lot of Albertsons’s on Stewart Parkway with a folding knife, stating that he was going to kill the other person. The report said this was witnessed by several citizens. The victim ran to a nearby bridge and hid with some transients.

The report said the man threw the knife and left on his bike. He was located by officers nearby. A citizen directed officers to the knife, which was in a grassy area near the store. Due to medical reasons unrelated to the incident, the man was cited and released at Mercy Medical Center.
