With one day left to finalize the process of running for office, races for the office of mayor and for the Roseburg City Council appear to be set.

The latest candidate is Sheri Moothart, who is running for the Ward 1, Position 2 seat on the council. Her signatures were verified by the Douglas County Clerk on Thursday. Patrick Lewandowski is also seeking that seat which is currently held by Linda Fisher-Fowler. Fisher-Fowler decided not to run for re-election.

Incumbent councilors Andrea Zielinski, Brian Prawitz, and Ashley Hicks are all running for another four-year term on the council. Hicks is being challenged by Patrice Sipos. Sheila Cox is running to complete the term she was appointed to following the resignation of Tom Ryan.

Mayor Larry Rich has no challengers as he seeks another two-year term.
