A house received significant structural and water damage in a fire on Tuesday night.

Fire Marshal Monte Bryan of the Roseburg Fire Department said the fire was reported just before 11:15 p.m. at a residence in the 1000 block of Northeast Rifle Range. Crews found a single-story structure with an attached porch, engulfed in flames, which were spreading to the rest of the home.

Firefighters determined that no one was inside the residence. Crews made an interior attack to extinguish the fire and completed overhaul.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, though discarded smoking materials may have been the cause. No one was injured in the fire. The American Red Cross is assisting the two displaced residents.

Several other agencies assisted the Roseburg Fire Department at the scene.
