Starting next Monday, August 24th, contractors working for the City of Roseburg will close Northeast Winchester Street at the intersection of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard to continue pavement improvements.
Communications Specialist Eric Johnson said beginning at 7:00 a.m. detour signs will be posted directing traffic to use alternate routes. Johnson said the closure will remain in effect until Friday, September 4th.
Southbound traffic will be routed to Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard from Northeast Stephens. Northbound traffic on Northeast Winchester will be diverted to Northeast Shambrook Avenue to Northeast Stephens Street. Drivers who use Northeast Winchester are advised to use alternate routes, if possible. Those in the area should use extra caution, drive slowly and watch for traffic control devices while traveling along these routes.
Johnson said during the closure, the contractor will continue making ADA improvements to various side streets along Northeast Winchester.
