MAN JAILED AFTER SUNDAY NIGHT DISTURBANCE

A man was jailed after a Sunday night disturbance in Canyonville.

Information from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at about 11:40 p.m. a deputy was sent to the 200 block of Lower Court Lane for reports that 40-year old Michael Sprague and a victim were in the bathroom. There were reports that there were guns in the bathroom. The victim said that Sprague had been holding a gun, was holding it to his head and shot it. The report said someone else had grabbed the guns and hid them from Sprague. A shell casing was found in the bathroom.

Sprague was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, menacing, second degree disorderly conduct, and three counts of recklessly endangering another person.    He was released from custody on Monday.
