A Drain man was jailed following a reckless driving incident on Sunday night.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at about 9:30 p.m. a deputy observed a vehicle failing to maintain its lane, in the 800 block of South Cedar in Drain. The report said the vehicle almost hit an oncoming car. It pulled into a residence and 54-year old Gregory Sparhawk got out of the driver’s seat.
The report said the man consented to field sobriety tests after admitting to consuming alcohol. He allegedly got aggressive and was detained. The report said he started to physically resist arrest and was eventually helped into a patrol vehicle. Sparhawk refused the sobriety tests and a breath test when he got to jail. The report said he was aggressive to intake staff and wanted to fight everyone.
Charges included reckless driving, reckless endangering, resisting arrest, refusal and for DUII alcohol. Sparhawk was detained without bail.
