COVID-19 CLAIMS 2 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 388 AS OF SUNDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 2 more lives, raising the state death toll to 388 as of Sunday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 252 new confirmed and presumptive cases, bringing the state total to 23,262. The new cases include:

*67 in Multnomah County

*40 in Marion County

*29 in Washington County

*26 in Clackamas County

*18 in Jackson County

*15 in Umatilla County

*12 in Malheur County

*7 each in Morrow and Polk counties

*5 in Linn County

*4 each in Columbia, Deschutes, and Lane County

*3 each in Jefferson and Yamhill counties

*2 each in Hood River and Klamath counties

*1 each in Clatsop, Josephine, Lincoln and Wasco counties

Oregon’s 387th COVID-19 death is an 86-year old woman in Clackamas County who tested positive on August 12th and died on August 13th, at Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center.

Oregon’s 388th COVID-19 death is a 52-year old woman in Multnomah County who tested positive on August 5th and died on August 14th at Providence Portland Medical Center.

Both had underlying conditions, according to the OHA.
